Maguire Entertainment compró los derechos de 'Marry Him'!

Perdón por haber estado tan ausente estos dias con las actualizaciones, prmeto ponerlos más al día, A PARTIR DE AHORA, TODOS LOS SÁBADOS! :)

Warner Independent and Tobey Maguire's Maguire Entertainment have acquired book and pic rights to the Atlantic Monthly article "Marry Him! The Case for Settling for Mr. Good Enough" by NPR commentator Lori Gottlieb.

Gottlieb will turn her article, which appeared in the March edition of the magazine, into a book for Dutton, "Marry Him! Finding Mr. Real."

Maguire will produce the pic, and Mark Ross will oversee the project for his shingle.

Gottlieb is a 40-year-old single mother who conceived her baby through donor sperm. Hardened by the responsibilities of raising a child alone, she posits that there is no such thing as a dream guy.

"Don't worry about passion or intense connection. Don't nix a guy based on his annoying habit of yelling 'Bravo!' in movie theaters. Overlook his halitosis or abysmal sense of aesthetics. Because if you want to have the infrastructure in place to have a family, settling is the way to go," Gottlieb wrote.

Maguire Entertainment recently signed on to produce "Hungry Rabbit Jumps," a Robert Tannen spec script acquired by Endgame Entertainment as a potential star vehicle for Maguire.

Maguire next stars in the Jim Sheridan-directed "Brothers."

'Hungry Rabbit' para Maguire Entertainment!

Endgame Entertainment has picked up Robert Tannen's spec "Hungry Rabbit Jumps" for Tobey Maguire to topline.

Project is described as a dramatic thriller in the vein of David Fincher's "The Game."

Endgame's James Stern is producing alongside Maguire and Gordonstreet Pictures' Ram Bergman. Endgame's Wendy Japhet is executive producing. Mark Ross is overseeing for Maguire Entertainment.

Endgame is the production and finance company behind the Bob Dylan biopic "I'm Not There" and "Hotel Rwanda."

Maguire Entertainment has a number of projects set up at various studios including "Tokyo Suckerpunch" and "Everything Changes" at Columbia Pictures and "Hot Plastic."

Maguire most recently wrapped the love triangle drama "Brothers" opposite Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman for Relativity Media.

He is repped by CAA and Management 360.

Tobey Mini Biography:

Tobey Vincent Maguire nació el 27 de Junio de 1975 en Santa Monica, California, USA. Su nombre de nacimiento es Tobias Vincent Maguire. Nació cuando sus padres tan sólo tenían 18 y 20 años. Su padre se llama Vincent Maguire y es cocinero y en ocaciones constructor. Su madre se llama Wendy Brown y es secretaria y en ocaciones guionista. Sin embargo, ellos se separaron cuando Tobey tenía sólo dos años de edad. Ésto, hizo que Tobey se tuviera que mudar constantemente con su madre de estado en estado habiendo pasado tiempo en California, Oregon y Washington. Terminó el colegio en el noveno grado ya que su madre le ofreció $100 para tomar clases de teatro, a causa de las dificultades económicas que estaban viviendo. A partir de aquí, Tobey hizo varios comerciales, incluyendo uno de Doritos y de McDonald's. Luego se presentó en varios castings para series y algunas películas entre las que se encontraba "Parenthood" en cuyo set lo conoció a Leonardo DiCaprio, comenzando así una gran amistad (ver Filmografía para más series y películas). Aunque Tobey ya NO consume drogas ni bebe en exceso, en varias oportunidades reconoció haber tenido que asistir a reuniones de Alcohólicos Anónimos. Actualmente, practica yoga, es vegetariano desde los 17 años y ama el basketball, el ajedrez y el backgamon. Esta comprometido y en relación con Jennifer Meyer, hija del dueño de Universal Studios desde el 2003 y el 10 de Noviembre del 2006 tuvieron su primer hija llamada Ruby Sweetheart Maguire. La pareja espera casarse antes de que la bebe cumpla su primer año de vida. :)
